About the Role

HeyTutor has partnered with a local school district in Florida to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.

We are hiring ELA T utors to support students in grades k–3rd during the school day. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community.

An in-person background check is required.

• $20–$24 per hour, based on education and experience

• Monday–Thursday availability required
  
   
• 9:00am - 2:00pm

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
  
   
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
  
   
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary English Language Arts (ELA)
  
   
• Ability to manage small groups independently
  
   
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
  
   
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check

• Tutor small groups of Elementary students without direct teacher supervision
  
   
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
  
   
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment
  
   
• Support positive student behavior and participation
  
   
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
  
   
• Assist with student assessments when requested
  
   
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
  
   
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy
  
   
• Complete additional duties as assigned
