Overview
Registered Nurse, Operating Room travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,049–$2,108 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients in the OR across adult and mixed populations, including preop assessment, positioning, intraoperative support, and postoperative planning.
- Maintain sterile technique, assist the surgical team, manage instrumentation and equipment, perform counts, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, coordinate with anesthesia providers, administer medications per protocol, and document care in the electronic health record.
- Prepare for and participate in a broad range of procedures, including complex neuro and vascular cases, ensuring proper patient positioning, equipment readiness, and supply availability.
- Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff; participate in handoffs and post-anesthesia care planning; support call, weekend, and holiday coverage as required.
- Use required electronic systems (Outlook, Workday, Shift Wizard) and have access to devices to support scheduling, documentation, and assignment management.

Requirements
- OR nursing experience with exposure to Level I trauma and skills in neuro and vascular perioperative care
- Demonstrated competence on a perioperative skills checklist with a strong rating in neuro and vascular areas
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred; willingness to travel to the assignment location and adapt to new environments
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts over a four-day workweek with additional call, weekend, and holiday coverage
- Proficiency with Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; access to electronics to perform workflows and documentation
