Key Responsibilities
- Establish rapport with clients to build trust and foster a therapeutic alliance.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders using evidence-based diagnostic criteria.
- Create and implement tailored treatment plans based on client needs, incorporating therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing tools and methodologies that encourage open dialogue and participation.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress through regular follow-up sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer clients to external specialists when specialized treatment is necessary.
- Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and peer supervision.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Evans Mental Health Clinic, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals, couples, and families experiencing a range of mental health issues. This may include anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, trauma, and family dynamics. Your expertise will be vital in guiding clients through their unique circumstances, helping them navigate challenges and fostering resilience.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active and unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience (2+ years) in providing individual and/or group therapy in an outpatient setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads effectively and adhere to administrative responsibilities.
- Proficient in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Experience
Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, familiarity with family systems theory, and previous involvement in clinical supervision or mentoring of other therapists will be advantageous. A background in community mental health services or crisis intervention is a plus, enabling you to bring a broader understanding of client needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual earnings between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
