A leading logistics and transportation company is seeking a Trucking Operations Team Manager to oversee transportation operations across multiple locations . This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management to optimize delivery efficiency and operational performance. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage transportation teams across multiple locations to ensure seamless trucking operations.
  
• Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality .
  
• Oversee and analyze key performance metrics , tracking progress and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  
• Manage budget planning and cost control , ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to company goals.
  
• Supervise profit and loss (P&L) management , providing insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.
  
• Establish and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers , ensuring the best contract terms.
  
• Mentor, train, and assess staff performance , fostering a results-driven and collaborative team environment.
  
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations , promoting a safe and secure work environment.
  
• Address and resolve transportation issues , working proactively with internal teams and external partners to prevent disruptions.
  

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  
• 10+ years of experience in transportation management , with at least 5 years in a leadership role .
  
• Strong expertise in fleet operations, route optimization, vendor negotiations, and cost reduction strategies .
  
• Ability to analyze financial performance, develop cost-saving initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency .
  
• Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management within the logistics industry.
  
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment .
