Entry-Level Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing
Location: Painesville, OH
Pay: $19-$21/hour Based on Experience
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime potential available including off-shifts and weekends as needed

Hire Sync is hiring an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician for a growing manufacturing operation in Painesville. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined candidates looking to build a long-term career in industrial maintenance and equipment repair.

This role is ideal for candidates with trade school training, mechanical experience, welding exposure, or hands-on maintenance knowledge who are ready to grow within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial vacuum dryers, extruders, and related production equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on company machinery
Complete product and filter changeovers on equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with equipment repairs
Perform basic welding for maintenance and repair work
Assist with basic wiring of motors, valves, and related equipment
Help repair and build gear boxes and other mechanical components
Follow confined space procedures, permit requirements, and LOTO safety procedures
Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance tasks
Support additional maintenance and facility needs as assigned

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED required
Trade school education or maintenance certification is a plus
Basic mechanical background through work experience, education, or training required
Basic welding knowledge or training required
Basic electrical knowledge including motors and wiring preferred
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to troubleshoot and complete preventative maintenance on machinery
Comfortable climbing ladders, stairs, and working around industrial equipment
Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs
Steel-toed boots required
