Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Position on a 13-week local travel contract in Rapid City, South Dakota, offering up to $1,800 per week. The role supports occupational therapists in delivering individualized care and promotes community engagement in the Black Hills region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Support patients in developing or regaining daily living and work skills
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
• Provide hands-on care under the direction of the supervising OT
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home programs
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active South Dakota COTA license or eligibility to obtain
• NBCOT certification
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in a clinical or rehab setting
