BayCare Health System is seeking a motivated and compassionate Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the hospital‑based outpatient rehabilitation team. St. Anthony’s Resource Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation Center , conveniently located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, offers a comprehensive range of outpatient rehabilitation services for adults and adolescents. This role supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Experience with lymphedema is welcome but not required—BayCare is willing to train the right candidate in lymphedema management.

Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:

• Carry out individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional training, and modalities

• Participate in lymphedema care and treatment , with training provided as needed

• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, functional mobility, and home programs

• Observe and report patient response, progress, and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist

• Document treatments and progress accurately in the electronic medical record

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming outpatient therapy environment

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)

• Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months

• Required Associate's Physical Therapy

• Preferred 1-year Physical Therapy Assistant
