Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift

Primary Purpose of Role Allison Off Highway operates in Lugoff, SC as a warehouse/distribution operation that primarily receives, picks, packs and ships automotive parts weighing anywhere from ounces to several hundred pounds. The warehouse associate will lift numerous parts daily while receiving, picking, and packing work orders. Key Responsibilities The primary function is to check in, separate, and put away inbound product as well as pick, pack, ship outbound orders and move material within the warehouse. Associates must read and follow work orders, use a forklift or other lifting device for receiving, picking, loading shipments, and consolidating product. The role may include any distribution‑center job functions: inbound/outbound operations, material handling, and housekeeping. Multiple job functions can be performed in a single shift, requiring cross‑training. Housekeeping duties such as cleaning workstations and sweeping floors are required throughout the shift. Essential Functions of the Job Lift 25 pounds consistently and 75 pounds occasionally. Perform overhead lifting, stooping/bending to floor level, reaching and lifting, twisting left/right. Walk and stand up to 12 hours. Operate a forklift throughout the day. Maintain full range of motion with neck and wrists. Read and write accurately. Use a calculator for accurate counts. Operate radio frequency equipment (barcode scanners and tablets). Maintain excellent housekeeping. Follow verbal and written instructions. Work effectively as a team player. Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of experience in a distribution environment. Detail‑oriented with excellent attendance, safety, accuracy, and productivity. Ability to work as a team player.
