Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated CDL Vac Truck Driver/Operator to join our underground utility construction team. This role involves operating vacuum trucks for pipeline cleaning, hydro excavation, and debris removal in support of rehabilitation projects such as slip lining, drainage installation, and canal & lake bank restoration. Overnight travel Sunday-Friday is required.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate vacuum trucks for hydro excavation, debris removal, and pipeline cleaning
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and perform routine maintenance checks
• Assist with underground utility construction tasks on-site
• Operate small tools and equipment (e.g., pumps, gas saws, compactors, backhoes, bobcats)
• Properly load and unload equipment and materials at job sites
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
• Keep detailed logs of work performed, mileage, fuel, and equipment usage
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and crew members

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A Driver's License
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial driving and vac truck operation
• Underground utility construction experience required
• Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently or as part of a crew
• Strong communication skills and professional work ethic
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight (Sunday-Friday)

• Overtime as needed
