About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support aircraft electrical design, testing, substantiation, and certification activities. The role will work with engineering teams, suppliers, airline customers, and certification/regulatory agencies.




Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans, and test reports.
Prepare substantiation reports and test documentation for aircraft cabin safety.
Support STC/PMA projects involving electrical requirements and supplier data deliverables.
Coordinate technical inquiries, significant issues, and airworthiness concerns; DER experience is a plus.
Identify major design changes impacting aircraft electrical systems.
Support aircraft certification and regulatory activities.
Work with airline customers on troubleshooting during flight tests, test labs, and jig testing.
Prepare technical presentations and support project meetings.




Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related scientific/engineering field preferred.
4 7 years of engineering experience; relevant internships/co-op experience may count.
Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
Experience with AutoCAD or DraftSight is required.
Strong MS Office/computer skills.
Familiarity with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware.
Strong communication, organization, and individual contributor skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of aircraft interiors.
Experience as a Design Engineer or Substantiation Engineer.
Working knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification.
Experience with STC/PMA, DER, or airworthiness-related activities.
