Goodyear Chemical is a division of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company which manufactures and markets rubber-related chemicals for various applications. Control, monitor and adjust as necessaryTroubleshoot process, product quality, safety and environmental problems and identify equipment requiring maintenanceReview, analyze, and interpret lab data, distributive control monitoring information, log information from previous shift(s) and from the field, AVO (avoid verbal order) instructions, etc. to identify problems and make decisionsClean and maintain a safe work environmentAbide by standard work procedures and job safety standards, including required PPEPerform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights and/or confined spaces when applicableAdhere to Goodyear's attendance policyCommunicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingUnderstand and follow all instructions, both orally and in writingBasic Qualifications:HS Diploma/GEDMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the futureMust be able to successfully complete all pre-employment criteriaAbility to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicableBasic computer skillsPreferred Qualifications:AAS in Process Operations TechnologyProcess Operations Technology CertificationPrevious manufacturing experience with basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical principlesPrevious experience as a Process Operator in the chemical, rubber or petroleum industryDistributed Control System (DCS) Console Board Operations experienceVocational/technical school and/or courseworkApprenticeship program within a mechanical disciplinePrevious military service experience within a technical specialtyDemonstrated ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles to solve problemsExperience adhering to industry-specific safety standardsCandidate Criteria:Self-motivated: demonstrates appropriate initiative with or without direct supervisionHard worker: someone who works diligently to get tasks done in a timely and safe mannerAdaptability: the ability to make changes, and to be successful in changing environmentsTeam player: an associate who can be counted on to assist the company in being successfulAbility to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems and make decisions in routine and non-routine situationsCommitment to working safelyMay be required to serve on the Emergency Response Team. #J-18808-Ljbffr Goodyear
