The Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.What you'll do: The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming patients, documenting medical history / chief complaints, collecting vitals if necessary, communicating follow-up information with patient and provider, and otherwise generally assisting the provider within the MA scope of practice. Candidates must have exceptional customer service skills, a positive communication style and the ability to problem-solve effectively. Multi-tasking with a high degree of accuracy is essential to providing safe, high quality patient care. At least 1 to 2 years of experience working in an outpatient clinic setting is strongly preferred. National certification as registered medical assistant preferred.QualificationsWho you are: General knowledge of office procedures and computer systems. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to handle high stress, busy work environment. Knowledge of Word & Outlook Required. Orthopedic and/or casting experience preferred. Knowledge of GE Centricity a plus. Professional, and articulate phone skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
