Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an immediate impact supporting students at Schaumberg Elementary with your communication expertise! Step into a full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role covering a maternity leave this fall. Work directly with an engaging caseload of 50-60 students, using your knowledge and innovative skillset to make a real difference in a supportive, school-based environment. This contract assignment runs from September 14th through Monday, November 30th, making it a perfect opportunity to lend your talents for a defined period.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active Louisiana SLP licensure (or eligibility)
  • CCC-SLP preferred but Clinical Fellows are welcome and encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in K-5 school settings highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working onsite and managing a caseload of approximately 50-60 students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and conduct evaluations for students in alignment with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators and family members to support student learning and development
  • Document progress and maintain accurate student records in compliance with school and legal requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and engage as a positive member of the school community
  • Adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of each student and help them reach their communication goals
