A leading law firm is seeking a Legal Project Manager for its Baltimore, New York, or Washington, DC office (hybrid). This role partners with attorneys and business professionals to enhance matter efficiency and financial performance, serving as an AI-forward adopter within the firm's legal project management function. The Legal Project Manager will use the firm's technology suite, including AI-enabled tools, to improve legal project management processes and decision-making. Responsibilities include developing and managing matter budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; preparing financial reports, accruals, and client budget updates for attorneys, clients, and firm leadership; and monitoring matter financial performance — budget-to-actual results, WIP, realization, fees, collections, and variances — while recommending corrective actions. The role also involves partnering with attorneys on matter scope, staffing, and financial risk; collaborating with Pricing, Finance, and Billing teams; and driving adoption of consistent legal project management practices and reporting tools.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (JD or MBA strongly preferred), five or more years of legal project management, legal finance, pricing, or law firm financial operations experience, and advanced Excel and Aderant/Elite proficiency, plus Power BI and data visualization skills. Salary ranges from $140,000–$175,000 depending on location.
