Director of Software EngineeringThe Director of Software Engineering will be a senior leader responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of innovative, customer-facing financial products and digital services for FMB. Reporting to the CIO, the Director of Software Engineering will own the engineering roadmap and execution, drive technical strategy and scale high-performing engineering teams to support the growth ambitions of FMB. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring that all products are delivered with high quality, exceptional scalability, and robust security, all while aligning with the FMB's overall technology vision.Essential DutiesTechnical Strategy and ExecutionEngineering Leadership and Team ManagementProduct Delivery and Quality AssurancePlatform and Architectural OversightWorkflow Automation and RPAData Engineering and Analytics EnablementBudgeting and Resource ManagementCollaboration with Key StakeholdersTalent ManagementRisk Management and ComplianceRequired KnowledgeTechnical ExpertiseCloud and MicroservicesDevOps and CI/CDWorkflow Automation/RPAData EngineeringFinancial ServicesBasic Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent leadership and management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent analytical and organization skillsHands-on troubleshooting abilities of complex problemsRequires proactive knowledge of current and future concepts of potential IT sectorsEquipment OperatedLap/desk top computers Standard Office Equipment (copiers, fax machines, etc.)Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentRequires sitting for prolonged periods of time. Requires lifting up to 25 lbs. Office setting with controlled temperature.Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field is required. A master's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Organizational Leadership is preferred. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing cross-functional technical teams.
