As a Patient Services Coordinator you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our patients receive seamless, compassionate, and efficient care from the moment they walk through our doors. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients for orthopedic appointments. Maintain accurate patient demographic information, insurance details, charges, and collections; schedule appointments promptly. Cross‑train in multiple administrative support functions. Collaborate with the team to meet patient and organizational goals, sharing and initiating professional communication with co‑workers. Participate in regular staff meetings, identify improvement areas, and actively contribute to the improvement process. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Three years of experience in a medical office setting required; other related experience may be considered. Proficiency with medical office software for updating patient demographics, posting charges, handling copays, and scheduling appointments. Understanding of CPT and ICD‑10 coding processes. Excellent verbal communication, organizational, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to manage changing priorities and maintain confidentiality. Strong teamwork and initiative; respectful interaction with people of all cultures and authority levels. Basic medical terminology knowledge; high level of experience with EPIC systems and payer billing requirements. Familiarity with coding requirements for the practice specialty.
