Job PostingWEST TALLAHATCHIE SCHOOL DISTRICTPost Office Box 129, Webb, MS 38966 (662) 375-9291 (662) 375-9294 (Fax)QualificationsA satisfactory driving record to include no more than two (2) traffic violations in the past three (3) yearsA satisfactory employment recordCurrently possess or be willing to obtain a Class B Commercial Drivers License with a "P" and "S" endorsement.Must be able to pass all required training required by the school district and the Mississippi Department of EducationMust pass police background records checkMust be insurable by local district insurance carrierMust be able to perform preventative maintenance checksHave no known medical history or clinical diagnosis of any condition that could be detrimental to the safety of the students that will be transportedMust be willing to submit to and pass drug screeningMust be eighteen (18) years of ageMust be willing to submit to a Department of Transportation "physical" examination.Duties & ResponsibilitiesObey all traffic lawsMaintain discipline and safety, within the legal limits, while students are on the busKeep assigned bus clean at all timesTransport only authorized studentsPick-up and discharge students at authorized bus stops onlyNotify the proper personnel in the event of mechanical failureReport all accidents and complete the required reports immediatelyOperate school bus on an assigned schedule daily, never departing a bus stop earlyPerform a minimum of two (2) school bus evacuation drills each school term, using appropriate emergency proceduresAttend a minimum of two (2) hours of in-service training each semesterPerform other related duties as requested or assigned by supervisorPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the busReports To: Transportation SupervisorLength of employment: 10 Months
