Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Sign Language Interpreter in the dynamic education environment near Waverly, NE. Key Qualifications:

Current Sign Language Interpreter credential; a PROVISIONAL license is welcomed if your EIPA score is under 4.0
Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Experience supporting high school-aged students preferred
Familiarity with interpreting in educational settings considered a plus
Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
Professional, respectful demeanor and a desire for ongoing learning

Responsibilities Include:

Provide clear and accurate ASL interpretation for a high school caseload during classroom lessons and school activities
Ensure communication accessibility between students who are deaf/hard of hearing and educators or peers
Prepare for daily lessons by reviewing materials and terminology as needed
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in accordance with district standards
Partner with educators and support teams to promote student success and participation
