Ideal candidates are flexible and reliable, have a strong work ethic, have high attention to detail, and work well in team settings.This crew is responsible for overall upkeep, repairs, and grounds in all residential areas. Employees will be assigned primary areas of focus once hired. On-the-job training will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Lifting and physical labor are significant aspects of the job.Duties/ResponsibilitiesFurnitureMove and assemble furniture and appliances in residential rooms and lounges.Duties could include setting up rooms, moving furniture from one area to another, and organizing storage rooms throughout campusRepairInspect, remove, maintain, and repair furniture in residential rooms and lounges.May include minor carpentry repairs on furniture and facilities and preparing rooms for occupancy.Repairs are performed using basic hand tools and all proper use will be taught.GroundsRake, weed, and general cleanupRequirementsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Candidates should have a general understanding of power and hand toolsBe able to perform and understand basic repairsLift 25 poundsWork well autonomouslyExcellent organizational skillsCompensation Pay Range:$16.00 per hourThe University of New Hampshire is an R1 Carnegie classification research institution providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs of distinction.
