TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Whitesburg, Kentucky, 41858!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience in Labor and Delivery. Experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery is required. License: Active compact or state license required. Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Ability to float within scope of practice. Availability to work every other weekend. Willingness to accept a schedule of 36/48 hours for the two-week pay period. Must reside within 75 miles of the facility. Description: The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a level 1 acute care setting. Experience is required in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery. Resources will work in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery departments. The role includes patient assessments and managing laboring patients. Responsibilities involve performing sterile vaginal exams, and assisting with cesarean sections. The candidate must provide discharge teaching to parents and attend to newborn care. Skills in maternal and newborn assessment, including managing newborn hypoglycemia and phototherapy, are necessary. The ability to support breastfeeding and lactation is essential. Experience with intravenous pain management and maintaining central lines is required. Knowledge of postpartum care and management of potential complications such as postpartum hemorrhage is crucial. Candidates must have experience with electronic fetal monitoring and triage of obstetrical patients. Resource will also be involved in patient education and support throughout the birthing process.
