Job Requirements

Health First is seeking a motivated and adaptable APP to join an expanding surgical team. This opportunity offers a well balanced role supporting two surgeons, with involvement in the OR, inpatient care, and clinic, allowing you to be part of the full patient care journey.

Position Overview

You'll play an integral role in both the OR and patient care continuity, supporting cases from initial consult through post operative follow up. This role offers a balanced mix of surgical, hospital, and clinic exposure, with the opportunity to expand your OR time as block scheduling evolves.

Key Responsibilities

• First assist in surgical procedures
• Perform hospital rounding and consults
• Manage pre and post operative patient care
• See new patients, follow ups, and post op visits in clinic
• Provide coverage across multiple sites as needed

Practice Structure

Monday to Friday schedule with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Gradual ramp up from clinic focused to increased OR time. Patient volume building to approximately 20 patients per day once established.

Call Coverage

One week per month of first call for elective and bariatric patients. Strong support from a surgicalist APP team.

Work Experience

• PA-C or AGACNP
• Active or be eligible for licensure by the State of Florida
• Current NCCPA Certification for PAs or ANCC certification for APRNs
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Case/Procedure logs for credentialing
