# Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nurse – New York Start Date: September 22, 2026 Location: Rochester, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 4x12 Night Shift, 1900-0700; every other weekend required; patient ratio 1:5 to 1:7 Highlights: - Work in a high-volume 528-bed tertiary care hospital with 77 beds across two specialized units- Care for CHF patients, acute MIs, post-device care (pacemakers), arrhythmias, general surgery patients including colorectal, ostomies, and reconstructive procedures- EPIC charting system utilized throughout facility- 13-week assignment with billable orientation modules (up to 5 hours)- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience- Floating required between units as needed Requirements: - Active New York State RN license in hand (no pending licenses accepted)- Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (valid NIHSS certification must be submitted)- EPIC charting experience required- Ability to manage 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios- Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location- Skills including blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care/wound vac, peripheral line management, and use of rapid response/code teams Why It's a Great Opportunity: This role offers the chance to expand your clinical expertise in a fast-paced tertiary care environment serving diverse patient populations from cardiac care to complex surgical cases.
