Harvest Health & Rehab is a privately owned outpatient therapy organization which provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services providing services across the lifespan, with locations currently in Loogootee, Bedford and Jasper Indiana. JOB SUMMARY

As an Occupational therapist, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals through evaluation/assessment, treatment planning/ implementation, education, and communication. You will help restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within Harvest Health and Rehab policies and procedures. You will also establish rapport with patients/families, staff and physicians to maintain a positive working relationship.

Outline clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan of care Use a multitude of treatment options including but not limited to exercises, stretching, equipment, dry needling, modalities, hands‑on manual therapy and more to manage patient's pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury Document evaluations, treatment goals, and plan of care in accordance to specific insurance standards Educate patient and family members Work collaboratively with professionals from other disciplines and communicate effectively Conduct therapy services within scope of practice Practice company and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards Provide direction and leadership to staff and act as a resource to promote occupational therapy in the community Enhance professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops while keeping up to date on professional literature Maintain an active occupational therapy license Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of patients across the lifespan Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations Compassion, empathy and positive attitude Qualifications Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy Active state of Indiana occupational therapy license Physical Requirements Duties require extensive standing and walking Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
