About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (23HR Observation) – Level 3

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday | No weekends | No call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedural preparation and post-procedural recovery care for interventional radiology patients
• Monitor and care for patients in 23-hour overnight observation, including those boarding pre- or post-procedure
• Support patients undergoing a range of diagnostic imaging procedures including CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound
• Function as part of a multidisciplinary team serving inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Apply critical thinking and strong communication skills in a fast-paced, high-energy diagnostic imaging environment

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with GI post-procedural care
• Prior experience in an interventional radiology or diagnostic imaging setting (not required)
• Team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized work style
