Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Millwright I to support the Maintenance functions of our high-volume lumber mill operation. As part of a large-scale team committed to continuous improvement, this role will play a key part in supporting our workforce by maintaining smooth day-to-day equipment operations.

Job Requirements:

Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems throughout the plant

Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC electrical systems

Have extensive knowledge on safe and proper use of oxygen and acetylene welding and cutting equipment/arc welding equipment

Trouble shoot, repair and/or rebuild sawmill equipment

Use computer operating systems of various sawmill equipment

Read schematics in order to fabricate parts and equipment

Desire to understand and operate computer operating systems for various mill equipment

Required to have necessary hand tools to complete most repairs

Must be able to handle hazardous waste according to company policy and have knowledge of all legal requirements

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

Must follow all fall protection and lockout/tagout procedures

Work in a safe and cooperative manner with all team members

Keep work area clean and orderly at all times

Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical training degree/certificate preferred

3+ years' experience in a Maintenance role

Ability to troubleshoot, repair and/or rebuild sawmill equipment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting positively with all people inside and outside our organization

Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude

Related industry or sawmill experience preferred

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
