Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape and refer customers to appropriate resources within GSK guidelines and values Maintain current knowledge and data regarding severe asthma therapeutics Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales Develop and implement customer-specific strategies for primary care physicians, allergists, pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and business or office managers Build and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, and other GSK functions Manage allocated financial resources Provide customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs Travel regularly to customer sites within the assigned territory Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years of business-to-business sales Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight and/or weekend travel Must live in the geography; no relocation assistance Valid driver's license Experience selling into primary care, specialty clinics, or hospital systems is a plus Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills Ability to identify unique sales opportunities and perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities Teamwork and leadership skills Business planning skills and ability to multitask Respiratory product experience is a plus but not necessary Familiarity with managed care plans, insurance formularies, and retail pharmacies, including prescription processing and prior authorizations Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in pharmaceutical sales with a focus on customer engagement and relationship building, while adhering to compliance guidelines.
