Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN ADN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have: Experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Description: Overview of a 26-week contract. This facility is a 198-bed, level III trauma center. It includes state-of-the-art operating suites. The facility handles various Trauma level I, II, and III cases. Healthcare services are provided to a multi-state region. Services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. The hospital features a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab testing services. Recognized for PCI, Mammography, and laboratory accreditation. Awarded a reputation award in healthcare. The location is noted for its beautiful landscape and outdoor activities. The area features three rivers, four golf courses, five lakes, and six National Parks. It offers opportunities for hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing. The patient population includes individuals with ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric needs. The unit has 48 beds with flex space. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main emergency department and 6:1 in fast track. Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillators, Level One Blood Transfusers, and ultrasound-guided IVs. EHR system used is Cerner. There is a team nursing and pod system in place. Each department has a social worker assigned. A unit educator is present to support nursing staff. Common diagnoses and treatments include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
