Operational Excellence Engineer

Job Description

The Operational Excellence Engineer is responsible for identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and optimizing business processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance. This role works cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze current processes and identify improvement opportunities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools
Design and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective actions
Develop and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
Facilitate workshops such as Kaizen events and value stream mapping sessions
Standardize best practices and ensure process consistency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements
Support change management and ensure successful implementation of new processes
Train employees on continuous improvement methodologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt often preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of process mapping and data analysis tools
Experience with ERP systems and operational metrics
Excellent communication and project management skills
