About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in related nursing specialty License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification required ACLS certification required Must-Have: Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, Post-op Cardiovascular surgeries, CRRT Description: The competent nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently. Demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to plan for long-range goals. Continuously develops the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies. Consistent with the nursing scope and standards of practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Utilizes appropriate protocols to administer medications and treatments. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Identifies issues and resources.
