Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students in a self-contained mental health and behavior program for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract position spans from September 1, 2026, to June 16, 2027, in a nurturing and collaborative educational environment. With manageable caseloads of approximately 10 to 16 students, you’ll make a tangible difference through individualized instruction, advocacy, and positive behavioral support.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid New Hampshire Teaching License (required)
• Experience in special education, preferably with students exhibiting mental health or behavioral needs
• Strong background in case management, evaluations, and report writing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to adapt instruction and strategies to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning and behavioral goals
• Facilitate and attend IEP meetings, collaborating with families, related service providers, and school staff
• Conduct evaluations and ongoing progress monitoring, maintaining meticulous documentation and timely reporting
• Provide targeted academic and behavioral instruction in a supportive, self-contained classroom setting
• Employ proactive interventions and build strong, trusting relationships with students
• Manage a caseload of 10 to 16 students, offering direct instruction and consistent case management
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
