Step into a meaningful contract position supporting the well-being and academic achievement of students in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time opportunity runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (30-minute unpaid lunch). In this impactful role, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and staff, utilizing your skills as an RN Nurse or Special Education Teacher to support students with unique health and learning needs.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid RN license in Illinois with a strong clinical background in pediatric, school, or public health nursing
• Experience in a school nursing role and/or a background as a Special Education Teacher is highly desirable
• CSN (Certified School Nurse) credentials preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes, special education regulations, and student healthcare documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Compassion, patience, and dedication to providing exceptional care and instruction for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing services to students including medication administration, emergency response, and care for chronic medical conditions
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans in collaboration with the special education team
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student care planning and documentation
• Partner with teachers and families to create a safe, inclusive environment for students with special needs
• Support health education and wellness initiatives school-wide
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with federal, state, and district protocols
