Army Aviation - Transport Aircraft (Army C-12) Tool and Parts Attendant - FT. Worth, TX.

Responsibilities Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies, measuring devices, and other equipment in an industrial establishment. Keeps records of tools issued and returned; searches for lost or misplaced tools; prepares periodic or perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed; unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects tools, measures wear or defects with micrometers, and reports damaged or worn‑out equipment. Coats tools with grease or other preservatives, attaches identification tags or engraves identifying information on tools and equipment using an electric marking tool; performs all other position‑related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent (required). One year of hands‑on experience in repair, modification, or maintenance of systems related to the specialty codes. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three‑dimensional depth. Specialization in one or more of the following SCA Occupational Codes: 21210 – Tools and Parts Attendant. Valid driver’s license (required). Willingness and ability to work any shift assigned, including occasional rotating weekend shifts as required by the flight schedule. Security Clearance Requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance and to access the facility. Physical and Additional Qualifications Walk and stand on level or inclined surfaces for up to six hours per day; sit for up to two hours per day. Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands; crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees and reach above/below shoulders. Carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; lift up to 35 pounds to a height of four to seven feet. Communicate by voice and detect sounds; read, write, and interpret printed material. Operate power, machinery, hand tools, and other equipment as required. Respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure. May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft; may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, electrical shock hazards, or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
