Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for ensuring the proper decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies. They support OR and procedural teams by maintaining sterile processing workflows and adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Inspect and prepare trays and packs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labeling requirements.
• Monitor and document sterilization processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Maintain inventory control and proper storage of sterile supplies.
• Collaborate with staff on workflow improvements and infection prevention practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sterilization equipment and instrument tracking systems.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of two (2) years of sterile processing experience.
• Demonstrate familiarity with sterilization and decontamination procedures.
• Hold applicable certifications such as CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control standards.
• Ability to follow strict protocols and work within a team environment.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
