Senior Network Engineer : Minerals Technology Inc

Senior Network Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Thursday in Bethlehem, PA (2-3 days onsite)
Duration: 3 – 6 months Visa: Any Visa (except H1B and CPT)
Interview: Phone/Zoom and final round onsite
Must have 4+ years of Fortinet experience . Client looking for more technical candidate.
Please make sure your candidates can technically work through the following network concepts:
- VPN setup and troubleshooting
- BGP policy traffic shaping
- Wifi concepts
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices. (Platforms: Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Router Switches, Juniper Firewalls, Pulse Secure VPN, Aruba Wifi, Meraki)
- Perform policy administration of Unified Threat Management and Fortinet SD-WAN.
- Monitor network performance and integrity
- Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Mentor team members on technical issues
- Work closely with Cyber Team and Security Operations Center to implement risk threat mitigation actions.
- Communicate with users when needed
- Maintain complete technical documentation
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Professional Certifications (e.g. Fortinet NSE4, Fortinet NSE5, CCNP, CCDP)
- Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
- Familiarity with access control models and network security
- Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl)
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, PRTG network tools)
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (Forti-OS, JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
- Sharp troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Organizational and mentoring skills
