Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Acceptable phlebotomy training program. Technical Skills Basic computer knowlege required. License/Certification Phlebotomy certification required upon hire. A Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst license may be substituted for certification. Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic licenses are also accepted. If national certification obtained, then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the State of Nevada must be completed within six months of hire. Other Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency room technician, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set.
