Clinical Dietitian: Elyria Medical Center$2K Sign on Bonus - Competitive hourly rates - Enhanced PTO for candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience - Career Ladder progressionA Brief Overview: The Clinical Dietitian will display effective nutrition care, apply critical thinking skills and provide effective communication and education skills in daily practice.What You Will Do:Delivering Effective Nutrition Care (Develops & implements decision making tools for potential complex cases in area of specialty)Critical Thinking & Decision Making (Demonstrates proficiency in professional judgment and strategic thinking in practice)Communication & Education (Provides education to staff, interns & other health care professionals in the hospital in area of expertise)Additional Responsibilities:Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition if established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023 (Required) or Master's Degree in Food & Nutrition (Required)Work Experience: 3+ years working as a clinical dietitian in a health care facility (may include Supervised Practice Program) (Preferred)Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Competent skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) & apply the nutrition care process to patient care.Competent skills to evaluate and recommend nutrition needs based on the specific combined objective/subjective information for a clinical nutrition assessment.Analytical skills to assess patient's condition & provide appropriate interventions.Exhibits appropriate & effective communication/interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, physicians and other health care professionals.Licenses and Certifications:Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Ohio (Required Upon Hire)Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Required Upon Hire)Completion of an ACEND accredited Supervised Practice Program.
