Developmental Specialist FT / PT Status – Full-Time Benefits Eligibility – This position is eligible for a full benefits package. Salary – $21.41 - $27.00 Hourly Wage Remote Work / In-Office – Hybrid The Developmental Specialist provides evaluation, assessment, intervention, and support services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) with developmental delays or disabilities. Working within a family-centered model, this position partners with caregivers to promote development across all domains and enhance the child’s participation in daily routines. Key Responsibilities The Developmental Specialist provides evaluation, assessment, intervention, and support services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) with developmental delays or disabilities. Working within a family-centered model, this position partners with caregivers to promote development across all domains and enhance the child’s participation in daily routines. Day-to-day responsibilities of this position Conduct developmental evaluations, screenings, and ongoing assessments across developmental domains (cognitive, social-emotional, communication, adaptive, and motor) Develop and implement individualized family service plans Provide direct services in natural environments including the family home Coach and educate families on strategies to support child development within daily routines and activities Monitor progress and adjust interventions based on data and child and family response Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with state and federal guidelines Ensure services are culturally responsive and family centered Qualifications Minimum or day-one qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, psychology, social work, or related field or equivalent experience. Knowledge of child development and early intervention practices. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to actively engage with young children. Ability to move between service locations. Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications Experience working with infants, toddlers or children with developmental delays. Experience with IFSP development and Part C early intervention systems. Familiarity with routines-based intervention. Fluent in speaking, reading and writing Spanish.
