Responsibilities

• Enter and update data into department databases and record management systems
• Verify accuracy of data by reviewing correcting and validating information
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for department records
• Process incident reports inspection records and personnel documentation
• Assist with data cleanup and quality assurance initiatives
• Prepare routine reports and summaries as requested by supervisors
• Respond to data inquiries from department staff and authorized personnel
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive public safety information
• Collaborate with team members to meet data entry deadlines and priorities
• Perform general administrative and clerical tasks as assigned
• Identify and report data discrepancies or system issues to management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in data entry and typing with speed and precision
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software and database systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable internet connection and suitable home workspace
• Understanding of confidentiality and data privacy practices
• Prior experience in data entry or administrative support is preferred
