Your role is essential: you’ll provide attentive, 1:1 nursing care during the school day, skillfully overseeing advanced diabetes management technology and acting as a trusted advocate for one remarkable 13-year-old student. This position involves hands-on monitoring, pattern recognition, and timely decision-making to ensure her safety and well-being, empowering her to thrive academically and personally.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered LPN/LVN license
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Confident in diabetes management, particularly with Dexcom CGM and Omnipod insulin pump
• Proficiency in recognizing blood glucose trends and responding to technology alerts
• Comfortable with smartphone-based monitoring and manual blood sugar checks when needed
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with school staff, student, and family

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent 1:1 supervision from 8:10am–3:00pm each school day
• Manage and document the student’s diabetes regimen in line with physician and parental guidelines
• Oversee advanced monitoring via Dexcom and Omnipod systems, including accurate timing and technology/system checks
• Conduct finger-stick blood checks to verify symptoms when necessary, prioritizing student safety at all times
• Maintain detailed records and foster trusted relationships with teachers and caregivers
