Respiratory Therapist

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board
• One year experience as an RRT
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• CRT certification
• NRP certification
• NY state license must be in hand prior to submitting
• Experience with adult critical care
• Experience with emergency department patients
• Experience with extubation
• Experience with nasal airway placement and suctioning
• Experience with oral airway placement and oral/nasal suctioning
• Experience with pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
• Experience with tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Experience administering respiratory medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, and Xopenex
• Experience with aerosol setup by mask and trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), hand held, T-piece, trach collar, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Assignment Details

• 3x12-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
