Java Developer with Vertex Tax Integration

Backend Java Developer Design, develop, and maintain backend Java applications with Vertex tax software integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, and QA to ensure accurate tax calculations and compliance. Build and manage APIs for transaction processing and tax calculation. Integrate Vertex O Series or Cloud with ERP or custom billing systems. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to tax processing and data accuracy. Ensure security, performance, and scalability of the tax-related components. Create technical documentation for tax integrations and services. Perform unit and integration testing for all developed features. 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot preferred). Strong experience with Vertex O Series, Vertex Cloud, or similar tax software. Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Familiarity with ERP systems or eCommerce platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Magento) a plus. Understanding of financial systems, tax rules, and transaction compliance. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience in tax compliance for US and/or global markets.
