Contract Chemist (6-Month) - Automotive R&D Hagerstown, MD Pays: $35-$51/hr. We're seeking a self-motivated, data-driven Chemist to join an innovative R&D team on a 6-month contract within a fast-paced automotive environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical expertise and a passion for problem-solving and product development. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain analytical instruments (ICP-OES, FTIR, TGA, GC, HPLC) Develop and validate test methods for quality and product performance Conduct experiments across spectroscopy, chromatography, and wet chemistry Support product development, QC, and manufacturing troubleshooting Manage lab data in LIMS and produce clear technical reports Ensure compliance with GLP, CGMP, and ISO 9001 standards Well qualified candidates will bring: A Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry or related field Hands-on analytical and QC lab experience in manufacturing Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills Experience with LIMS and regulatory standards This position comes with: Pay of $35-$51/hr.
