Industrial Job Opportunity: Shop Laborer / Fabrication Assistant

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated, safety-oriented Shop Laborer to join our steel fabrication team. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced industrial environment. Schedule: Core hours are Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:20 pm. Breaks include a 15-minute morning break at 9:00 am and a 30-minute lunch from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. Occasional Friday & Saturday shifts are required.

Compensation & Growth: Starting pay is $15.00 – $16.00 per hour. Merit increases are possible in as little as two weeks for employees who demonstrate initiative and a high "value-add" to the shop. We offer cross-training opportunities during lunch breaks or on non-production Fridays for those eager to advance their trade.

Primary Responsibilities: Precision drilling and hole punching. Operating a cutting torch and industrial grinders (5-inch discs). Cleaning and prepping fittings for production. Assisting in various shop tasks as needed to maintain production flow.

Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months in a steel shop or a relatable heavy-labor field (e.g., farmhand, construction, industrial painting, insulation, or refractory work). Must be proficient in reading a tape measure down to 1/8 inch. No allergies to insulation material; must maintain a safety-first mindset at all times. Must be willing to cross-train and take on new challenges.
