Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting within a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to cardiac and neurological emergencies
• Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as needed
• Perform triage and manage a high patient census, with expected ratios of 1:5–6 and the possibility of higher ratios during peak volume or holidays
• Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed
• Complete all required pre-start modules (self-reported, non-billable, approximately 5 hours)

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License (compact license not accepted; MI license must be active by start date)
• ACLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• BLS/BCLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• All certifications must be active and non-pending by contract start date
• Willingness to work 3 weekends (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule; may be scheduled for 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend
• Acknowledgment of high patient ratios (1:5–6, up to 8 during peak periods or holidays)
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred (EMR training completed during orientation if needed)
• Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience
• Triage experience; first-time travelers will be considered
