Technical Service Representative / Roofing Inspector Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent. Location: USA (Los Angeles, CA). Department: Technical Service. Job Overview The Technical Service Representative inspects roofing installations for Sika Sarnafil Roof Systems, monitors compliance with installation procedures, and provides training to roofing contractors. The role involves outdoor work, frequent travel to job sites, and collaboration with contractors, architects, and customers. Key Responsibilities Train applicators on proper installation of Sika Sarnafil roofing and waterproofing systems. Oversee application processes by attending job starts and in‑progress project visits to enforce industry practices and company specifications. Resolve installation problems and assist with corrective actions. Conduct final inspections for technical acceptance and warranty issuance. Liaise between applicator, general contractor, consultant, architect, building owner, and Sika Sarnafil during installation. Advise Technical Manager on progress, issues, and project needs. Assist Sales and others with pre‑job meetings, roof surveys, and warranty claim issues. Follow up on leak and warranty claim calls, completing necessary repairs. Inspect existing Sika Sarnafil roofs for warranty transfers, extensions, and annual inspections. Qualifications High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred). 2‑5 years of roofing industry experience. Technical knowledge of single‑ply roof membrane installation, ideally Sarnafil. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel extensively within the region; overnight travel via car, train, or plane acceptable. Benefits 401(k) with generous company match.
