CVOR CSTShift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:00 - 16:30)Contract Length: 13 weeksExperience RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of surgical experience required.Must have Level 1 Trauma experience.Scheduling DetailsOn-Call Requirement: Yes, on-call after shift hours Friday and Sunday during scheduled weeks.Call Requirement: Must be available for at least two days of call each week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on needs.Requests for Time Off: All requests must be submitted with the initial application. Accommodations will be made if approved at the time of booking.Call Off Policy: The facility reserves the right to call off one shift per two weeks.First-Time Travelers: Not accepted.Local Candidates: Not accepted.Certifications RequiredBLSCST through NBSTSAClinical Skills RequiredCVOR experienceFirst Assist roles for diverse surgical procedures, including but not limited to: Aortic Aneurysm repairAtherectomyASD repairCardiomyoplastyCABGECMOMitral valve replacementPericardial windowVAD managementUnit DetailsPatient Population: Average of 3 heart surgeries per day.Floating Requirements: Staff may float to other units or campuses based on patient census and must only float to areas in which they are qualified and trained.Floating Policy: Staff may float to the Main OR if CVOR volume is low.Hospital HighlightsDesignated as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.Home to the region's only solid organ transplant center.Supports advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures through its CVOR department.Additional InformationOrientation: Every Monday.All travelers are required to complete annual compliance requirements.Pre-assignment testing and modules will be required for all travelers to complete within 48 hours of receiving login information.Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing required modules, up to a maximum of 16 hours.EMR Experience: A minimum of 1 year experience with EPIC EMR is required.Travelers must have demonstrated competencies documented for floating tasks.
