Glens Falls Hospital's Outpatient Infusion Center is dedicated to providing patient care excellence. We offer a comfortable and convenient outpatient setting for those who require frequent infusions of medications. Infusion services are provided by a staff of registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy. Treatments available include intravenous (IV) antibiotics, IV antifungal, IV steroids for inflammatory conditions (Solumedrol), blood and blood product transfusions, maintenance of central venous access devices, placement of peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC lines), IV immune globulin therapy (IVIG), hydration therapy, IV/IM vitamins, care and maintenance of intrathecal or implanted infusion pumps, iron infusions (Venofer and Injectafer), teaching for self-administration of medications (Humira, Lovenox, treatment for Hepatitis C), therapeutic phlebotomies, specialty medications, and more.

Submission requirements include current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion, chemo cert (ONS) and oncology certified RN (OCN) - required, peripheral IV insertion experience - required, port/fistula/catheter experience required, IV certification required, EPIC experience - required, previous traveler preferred, BSN preferred, Cerner experience - required. Profile requirements include work history skills checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year 1 supervisory signed reference (from within the past two years of employment), license/certifications - must be uploaded with profile (current Nursys, BLS, ONC Cert, CHEMO CERT, ACLS, PERM ADDRESS and de-escalation training proofs - facility will not pend license/certs), must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Certification requirements include ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), CHEMO OCN. State license requirements are New York.
