We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Tooling Technician to support the maintenance, repair, fabrication, and continuous improvement of production tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on TIG and MIG welding experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and meets quality and production standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify manufacturing tooling, fixtures, jigs, and production equipment.
• Perform TIG and MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials.
• Fabricate tooling components, brackets, guards, and custom equipment to support manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine root causes of tooling and equipment failures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring instruments to complete repairs and modifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve tooling performance and manufacturing processes.
• Assist with new equipment installations, tooling changeovers, and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and equipment logs.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Identify and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability, efficiency, and product quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $32.00–$36.00 per hour (Based on experience)

First Shift

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, tooling, fabrication, or mechanical repair.
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to prioritize work, solve problems, and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred

• Technical school certification or Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Welding, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field.
• AWS Welding Certification or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC machines, machining operations, or toolroom equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial maintenance systems.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Forklift and overhead crane operating experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, welding helmet, and steel-toe footwear.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production facility.
• Frequent exposure to machinery, welding equipment, industrial noise, heat, dust, and moving mechanical parts.
• Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on production schedules and business needs.
