Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to assess mother and baby's condition.
• Assist physicians with delivery procedures and maternal assessments.
• Administer medications, including pain management, as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Educate patients on labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care instructions.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and adverse events.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license with active BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• At least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Proven competence in advanced fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation.
• Strong understanding of obstetric and neonatal protocols.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and manage high-pressure situations.
