Full Time Neon Technician / Fine Art Fabricator

Reeves Studios is a UL-listed, full-service art and design studio in Phoenix, Arizona, that executes large-scale lighting installations pushing the boundaries of neon and light-based sculpture. Founded by Lily Reeves in 2019, Reeves Studios operates as a UL-listed and NEC-compliant lighting studio with a mission of producing high-quality, original artwork, specializing in traditional glass neon lighting systems. About the Role We are looking for a full-time Neon Technician with 2+ years of bending experience who can operate in a creative environment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in tool maintenance, and comfortable working hands-on with traditional glass neon fabrication from concept through installation. Responsibilities Bend and fabricate traditional glass neon tubing to specification, from pattern to finished piece Pump, process, and test neon tubing for proper function and longevity Maintain and calibrate studio tools and equipment to ensure consistent, safe operation Work independently to manage project timelines and studio workflow with minimal supervision Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant studio workspace in line with UL and NEC standards Assemble and install works of art, sometimes working on ladders and lifts. Regularly lift and move heavy objects (25+ lbs) Requirements 2 or more years of hands-on fabrication experience with traditional glass neon Must be able to regularly lift 25+ lbs and handle heavy objects Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in tool maintenance and studio equipment care Ability to work independently in a creative, fast-paced environment Details Schedule: Full-time, approximately 35 hours/week Location: Phoenix, AZ (on-site) Pay: $21-25/hour, depending on experience and skill #J-18808-Ljbffr ARTS COMMISSION
